Introductory Japanese I (Part 2)

The goal of this Japanese course is to introduce the fundamentals of the sound systems, writing systems, basic grammar and vocabulary, and basic phrases for everyday situations. It is designed for people new to the Japanese language. In Introductory Japanese you will learn proper greetings, words for meals, how to ask about family and friends, and be able to navigate public transport. This class is designed for adults and youth ages 13 and older.

Sessions – Summer 2024

Introductory Japanese I (Part 2) will meet from 2:30 – 3:30 pm on Tuesdays on August 13, 20 and 27.  This 3-week course is designed for people who completed the first 5 weeks of Japanese I in July and August, or for people who have confirmed with our Japanese instructor that this course is a good fit for them.

Class Cancellation Policy & Refunds

A full course credit or refund can be requested prior to one week before the start of the course or workshop. If a student requests a refund, they will be charged a $30 fee. We cannot issue any refunds after this period.
