Intermediate Italian Conversation: Parliamo Insieme!

This class is perfect for students who already know some Italian and want to build confidence speaking it. Through guided discussions and short readings, you’ll practice real-life communication while reviewing grammar naturally in context. Each lesson will also explore aspects of Italian culture—such as travel, daily life, and traditions—to make conversation engaging and authentic. By the end of the course, you’ll speak more fluently and feel more at ease using Italian in everyday situations. This course is designed for intermediate speakers who have completed an Italian II course (or equivalent) or above.

Michela Sodomaco
Michela SodomacoInstructor —Italian
I was born and raised in Italy, where I studied English and French. I moved to the United States in 1991 and lived in Texas and California before moving to Bend in 2010. I have a master’s in early childhood education and have been a teacher at St Francis Catholic School for the past four years. I love teaching students and adults my native language and culture. I have traveled extensively in Europe and had the opportunity to learn about other countries’ history, culture, and food. I love to cook and discover different cuisines and traditions. I believe learning a language is a journey into a country’s history, beliefs, and way of living.
