Join our new Community Drop-In English Class—a welcoming, flexible space for learners of all levels to improve their English skills! Whether you’re looking to practice conversation, build your vocabulary, or gain confidence with everyday communication, this class is designed to support your goals. No registration is required—just come as you are! Led by an experienced instructor, each session includes engaging activities, real-life topics, and plenty of opportunities to speak and connect with others. Open to everyone in the community, this class is a great way to learn, grow, and meet new people in a friendly and inclusive environment.

Ya sea que quieras practicar conversación, ampliar tu vocabulario o ganar confianza al comunicarte en situaciones cotidianas, esta clase está pensada para ayudarte a alcanzar tus metas.

Sessions – Fall 2025

English Nights will be on Wednesdays from 5:45-6:45pm from October 1 – November 19. You can stop in for one night or come to all of them. The cost is $10 per session. If you have any questions, please email bendlanguageinstitute@gmail.com or call us at 541-728-3022 and we would be happy to help!

Las Noches de Inglés se llevarán a cabo los miércoles, de 5:45 p. m. a 6:45 p. m., desde el 1 de octubre hasta el 19 de noviembre. Puedes asistir una sola noche o venir a todas.

Class Cancellation Policy & Refunds

A full course credit or refund can be requested prior to one week before the start of the course or workshop. If a student requests a refund, they will be charged a $30 fee. Students can request a 50% refund up until the end of the second week of classes for a 8-week course, and they will not be charged an additional fee. We cannot issue any refunds after this period.

Meet Your Instructor

Lindsey BakosInstructor —English Speakers of Other Languages

Lindsey loves language! She is a Colorado native but has lived in Bend for three years. She has a BA in Modern Languages and History and an MEd in ESOL. She has taught English for the past eight years. Lindsey has worked as an instructor in private language schools and at the community college level with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Currently she is teaching English online in East Asia and working as a writing/ESOL tutor at OSU-Cascades. In her free time she enjoys all things outdoors. She loves camping, hiking, kayaking, reading and cooking.
