Advanced French

Take your French to the next level through engaging readings, lively discussions, and meaningful conversation. In this course, you’ll expand your vocabulary while strengthening your reading comprehension, speaking, and presentation skills. Each class includes opportunities to analyze texts, explore cultural and current topics, and exchange ideas and opinions entirely in French.

Course themes will be selected closer to the start of the term based on student interests and enrollment, ensuring relevant and engaging discussions throughout the session.

This class is designed for students who are already comfortable communicating in French and have a solid understanding of past, present, and future verb tenses.

Come ready to read, discuss, and connect—all in French!

Sessions –  Fall 2026

Advanced French will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30pm from September 28 – November 19. We will not hold classes Monday, Oct 12 (Columbus/Indigenous Day). We will meet at our institute and this class is limited to 10 people, so please sign up in advance.
