Japanese for Youth II (Part 1)
The goal of this Japanese course is to help students learn the fundamentals of Japanese sound systems, writing systems, basic grammar and vocabulary, and basic phrases for everyday situations. We will learn how to plan activities with friends, coordinate travel arrangements such as tickets and accommodations, and common vocabulary used around food. In addition, students will learn how to write and read Japanese in the present tense.
This course is designed for people who have studied Japanese for at least two months previously, or who are returning to their studies after a break. Our winter class is specifically designed for youth (ages 11-17) to foster a fun and interactive learning environment. The class is limited to 6 students.
Sessions – Winter 2021
Japanese II will be divided into two four-week courses from mid-January to early March. If you have previous experience with Japanese, these courses do not need to be taken in sequence. Part 1 will meet at our institute from 2-3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays from January 12 – February 4. We will also set up Zoom in case a student would prefer to learn with the class from the comfort of their home.
You can sign up for this course here or email bendlanguageinstitute@gmail.com if you have any questions.
