Italian for Kids II

Italian for Kids II will help your children with basic conversation skills in an interactive and fun environment. Designed for youth in 1st through 5th grade, students will improve their Italian skills through games, short stories, music, writing and artwork. This class is for students with limited exposure to Italian who are excited to learn with their peers. Both students who registered for our winter course, as well as new students are welcome to join the group. Our group is limited to 10 students to ensure plenty of one-on-one language practice with our teacher and to keep kids learning in a safe environment.

Sessions – Spring 2023

Italian for Kids II will meet on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30pm from April 11 – June 13 at our institute. This class is limited to 10 students so please register in advance. Scroll below to sign up!

Meet your Instructor

Michela SodomacoInstructor —Italian

I was born and raised in Italy, where I studied English and French. I moved to the United States in 1991 and lived in Texas and California before moving to Bend in 2010. I have a master’s in early childhood education and have been a teacher at St Francis Catholic School for the past four years. I love teaching students and adults my native language and culture. I have traveled extensively in Europe and had the opportunity to learn about other countries’ history, culture, and food. I love to cook and discover different cuisines and traditions. I believe learning a language is a journey into a country’s history, beliefs, and way of living.
