Introductory French I (Part 2)

Introductory French I is designed for people who are new to the French language. In this course we will cover the basics of French conversation. We will learn how to discuss food, hobbies, weather, and activities as well as learn about French etiquette and cultural practices. Whether you are looking to learn something new or prepare for an upcoming trip, this course will make French learning fun for you!

Sessions – Fall 2020

During Fall 2020 Introductory French I will be divided into two four-week sessions. Students can take the month-long parts in sequence, or only sign up for one depending on their level. Part 2 of this class will meet at our outdoor classroom on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:30-4:30pm from October 19-November 11. In the event of bad weather, the class may be moved to our indoor location or Zoom, depending on student interest.

Email if you have any questions. We will be happy to give you a free language level assessment to help find the course that best fits your needs.

Meet your Instructor

Diane Brown
Diane BrownInstructor —French and Spanish
Bonjour and Hola! I grew up in Bend and have made language learning my life’s work. I just recently retired from Bend High after more than 30 wonderful years teaching young people to communicate in French and Spanish. I have lived in France, Spain and China and hope to inspire and empower others to discover new places and people. I love sharing the fun of language learning with others of all ages and backgrounds, using stories, songs, movement and games. I look forward to meeting you! À bientôt!
