The Language of Chinese Food – Dumplings

Perhaps everyone has tried Chinese pot stickers at a Chinese restaurant, but did you know that authentic dumplings in China are very different from the ones you have tried here? In this course we will learn different traditional recipes through the Chinese language. If you like Chinese food and want to expand your food vocabulary in Mandarin, please come to our class!

We will meet Sunday, February 19th from 4:30-6:30pm. Please sign up by February 12th. Space is limited to 6 people. We plan to offer another workshop on Sunday, April 14th to learn about sweet and sour chicken.

You can sign up online or email bendlanguageinstitute@gmail.com and we will be happy to help you.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Yu Teshima
Yu Teshima Instructor
I graduated with a degree in law in China before moving to Bend, Oregon in 2005. Upon moving to Oregon, I started teaching Mandarin to both young children and adults. Teaching has now been my profession for the last 14 years. The saying, “Being a teacher means being a good teacher,” has become part of my nature. I love teaching my native language to people and working with them on a daily basis. I like to make language learning fun and I hope to meet you soon!
